Just The Weekend - Days 21-23

Friday and Saturday were pretty much....boring.  There is not much to tell that will be of interest.  Thursday was a long day, so we kept things pretty low key.  The biggest news from the last couple of days is that we have graduated to sleeping until almost 7 a.m. some mornings!!!!! Yes!  I know that seems like a little thing, but we are so excited about not being woken up before six every morning.  Mark took on getting up whenever DD would burst into the room so I could sleep a little longer, and I am thankful for the extra quiet time I have had.   Other than that, well....We went to the park....again, went to the ice cream shop....again, ate, played outside, slept - you get the picture. :D

On Sunday we all (only Mark and the older kids had gone so far) went to church for the first time since we arrived here.  I don't think there has been a time that I have missed going to church for three weeks in a row, but we just did not feel that we should try to take DD before this week.  To our knowledge DD has not attended church more than once or twice in her life, so we were really unsure how it would go.  DD loves music, and she did really well for the song service (the first thirty minutes).  She was beginning to get restless, so  I took her upstairs to the fellowship hall (room) where we played with a few toys, and then she fell asleep on the couch for a bit.  We stayed for the meal following the service and DD was more than willing to have some of it too. :)

There is only one service here on Sundays, so we ran by the store for a few minutes to get a few things, including new ping pong paddles to replace the ones we left at the park a few days ago, before heading home to change so we could go to the park.

It was an otherwise uneventful day, and I won't bore you with all the details about the nightimte routine. :D
